On a diagram, draw dotted lines extending from 002L and 003R. You are going to ignore the right of 002 and the left of 003 (your "inside" legs) in order to focus on 001 and create team building. You are going to build two chains of people: one down the left side of 002 and one down the right side of 003. Anyone new you sponsor into the business will go in one of two places: either in the chain down 002L or the chain down 003R. Those chains are your team legs, you are helping them work towards their first checks by assisting them in 50% of their business. The best way to build a team leg is to require all new associates to add at least one person to the team leg to keep it growing.
3. Building 001 first consolidates your power. Many people underestimate the amount of commitment and support it takes to build an active and lucrative organization. Building your 001 first means that you will support and cultivate your group with due attention and energy. There is no more wonderful moment in Network Marketing than when you call someone in your group to tell them you have sponsored someone beneath them or placed volume in their name. This inspires them to achieve the next level or step and, of course, it benefits you as well because any sales volume you put in your organization feeds to the top.
